Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Systems Project Engineer to join the F-35 Proposal and Requirements team under Program Integration.

This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.
Project Engineer is to provide engineering leadership, analysis, and execution support throughout the proposal lifecycle.

Proposal Analysis Tasks include:

• Manage execution of proposals through entire life cycle, including:
• Develop the proposal technical baseline, verify proposal completeness and compliance, schedule development, issue resolution, estimator/subject matter expert integration, requirements analysis & integration, BOE analysis, fact-finding requests, post proposal negotiation support, and definitization validation.
• Additional tasks includes: requirements development for tools in SharePoint and .Net applications, Supplier SOW development and verification, maintenance of contractual documentation baseline.
• Skills developed will be cost and schedule management, project management, communication skills and presentation opportunities to leadership.
• The environment is very dynamic and requires an individual to find solutions and work as a team with colleagues. This is a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, managing multiple projects and requires someone who excels working in a collaborative/team setting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) from an accredited university with 5 or more years engineering experience; OR Master Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) from an accredited university with 3 or more years engineering experience; OR PhD in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) from an accredited university with 1 or more years engineering experience
• Technical knowledge and practice in design, analysis, or on-aircraft experience
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to lead multiple projects and meet defined schedule commitments.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Salary Range: $101,400 USD - $152,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
