Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) sector is seeking a Principal Flight Test Facility Planner/SR Principal Flight Test Facility Planner to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located in Baltimore, MD. This Flight Test position is responsible for all Flight Test facilities and building/ramp maintenance needs for Hangar 1, Hangar 2, the Pilot Lounge, associated out-buildings and the flight ramp and will report to the Manager, Flight Test Technical Operations.

What You'll Get to Do:
  • Plans utilization of space and facilities for flight test consistent with requirements of organizational efficiency, and available facilities and funds.
  • Coordinates facilities maintenance - preventative, scheduled and repairs.
  • Responsible for ensuring the maintenance, cleanliness, and housekeeping of the hangars and ramp areas.
  • Perform as the Flight Test liaison with all plant and outside vendors/contractors who perform facility services in and around the Flight Test areas.
  • Requisition Materials and Supplies needed for building utilized by Flight Test, and any new construction or renovation projects.
  • Plans, directs and manages all phases of facilities modification and building projects from establishment of design concepts through design and implementation.
  • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans, budgets and schedules.
  • Identifies problems and develops solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing project scope.
  • Initiate and manage all facilities related capital projects allocated to Flight Test organization.
  • Oversee all facilities-related capital projects allocated to the Facilities and/or Maintenance departments.
  • Coordinate support staffing to accomplish the above assignments.
  • May have to lift and distribute heavy objects.
  • Any additional duties as may be assigned by the Manager, Flight Test Technical Operations.
This position can be filled at a Principal Flight Test Facility Planner 3 or a SR Principal Flight Test Facility Planner 4 level

Basic Qualifications for the Principal Flight Test Facility Planner 3:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of experience or a Masters Degree with 4+ years of experience (4+ additional years of experience to be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Customer-focused with proven leadership and communication skills
  • Problem solving, negotiation and leadership skills
  • Well-developed analytical and organizational skills for multiple concurrent project/task tracking.
  • Understanding of new construction, maintenance and/or repair experience for facility subsystems (i.e. electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tool suite, including Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook.
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of experience or a Masters Degree with 8+ years of experience (4+ additional years of experience to be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Customer-focused with proven leadership and communication skills.
  • Problem solving, negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Well-developed analytical and organizational skills for multiple concurrent project/task tracking.
  • Understanding of new construction, maintenance and/or repair experience for facility subsystems (i.e. electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tool suite, including Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook.
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Salary Range: $80,100 USD - $120,100 USD
Salary Range 2: $99,200 USD - $148,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
