Come be a part of our mission.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for you to join our team as an Operations Integration Team (OIT) Engineer out of Redondo Beach, CA.As a member of OIT, this candidate must have a background in space operations, having experience in operational level command and control concepts is a plus. Additionally, this position requires working in a multi-company, multi-government setting. Depth of experience must include designing and demonstrating activities to support Operator in the Loop (OITL) testing, minimum viable product definitions, tracking and prioritizing the user needs and wants via multiple agile backlogs, representing the software development team to leadership and potential operators, and mission thread development. This position will also support proposal activities for future related efforts in Space Command and Control (C2) and Joint All Domain C2. The OIT Engineer will report directly to the OIT Lead. Salary Range: $101,400 USD - $152,200 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

What You'll Get to Do:
- Supports operations integration and mission engineering activities across a seven-company industry team to define user workflows for product owner implementation
- Support user feedback process at multiple levels to ensure development teams understand and provide value to the warfighters, board member at each deficiency adjudication meeting
- Contribute to agile sprints, reviews, and retrospectives for the Operations Integration Team, work towards Government leadership team priorities
- Participate in design, architecture, system engineering, requirements, and other technical interchange meetings as the Operations Integration representative
- Provide familiarization or demonstrations of the software as needed
- Facilitate customer support/direction for release planning events; need to understand software speak and translate for the operators
- Contribute to the program using sound engineering processes in development, production, test, and sustainment in accordance with company policies, processes, and quality standards.
- Drive process development, continuous improvement, and affordability initiatives within their associated programs.
- STEM Bachelor's degree with 5 years of Operations (mission engineering) experience; or 3 years' experience with a Master's degree
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Experience in successfully working within cross-functional technical teams
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies, i.e., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe
- Familiarity or Experience in JIRA, Confluence
- Familiarity with MS Office suite of tools (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- Experience as orbital analyst or astrodynamics background
- Familiarity with Joint Planning Doctrine
- Familiarity or experience with version control tools such as Bitbucket
