Premium Audit Mail Auditor Fully Remote Opportunity

SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, examines and processes payroll and mail audit documents to produce final audit invoices in accordance with home state manuals rules, state regulations, company standards and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Working West Coast Hours M-F 8am - 5pm PST ( M-F 11am-8pm EST) Some flexibility in the schedule as needed
  • Examine and process all payroll and mail audit documents submitted by policyholders.
  • Applies appropriate premium audit rules and classifications.
  • Review claims; verify employment of major claims and correct class codes assigned in the claims operating system.
  • Investigate disputes and differences in payroll and classification data. Communicates findings to the Supervisor or Manager.
  • Prepare and process final audit and revision invoices as appropriate.
  • Notify Underwriting, Claims, and Fraud department as appropriate.
  • Endorse renewal policies as appropriate.
  • Complete incoming work within the established company standards for quality, timeliness and productivity.
  • Maintain excellent agency, policyholder, and interdepartmental relationships and communications.
  • Develop a working knowledge of manual rules, state regulations and company standards and procedures.
  • Regularly utilize internal systems to prepare premium audits.
  • Provide back up to all clerical functions of the department.
  • Other duties as assigned or as situation dictates.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • 0-1 years of previous premium audit experience applying either W.C.I.R.B. or N.C.C.I. rules and regulations or related experience preferred.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Basic accounting/bookkeeping knowledge and mathematical aptitude.
  • Basic computer skills including ability to use spreadsheets, e-mail and 10-key by touch.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply company rules and procedures.
