Job Description

This position is responsible for management, design, project planning, and estimating; serves as the business and technical head of engineering platforms.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and manage engineering teams for successfully delivering projects to internal customers
• Develop, mentor, and retain high quality design staff
• Work with customer support and provide technical support for field issues as necessary
• Identifies areas for improving cost, quality, feature offerings, etc to business development leads
• Identify and mitigate technical and business risk related to the engineering design of products
• Develop design concepts and directions for project teams that will create long-term profitability of the platform
• Other duties as assigned

Required Experience

• Professional Engineer or Technologist with 5+ years' experience
• Extensive experience in relevant design and design tools
• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
• Extensive product/project knowledge in the platform area
