The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Plastic Molding Engineering Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Conduct changeover, startup, troubleshooting, and shut down of molding process equipment following established guidelines.
Optimize processes and process standards through standardized documentation and continuous improvement principles.
Document standards using inputs and outputs as the scientific background in injection molding.
Participate in process experimentation, new mold start-up, collecting data, and helping to determine process capability/standards along with IQ, OQ, and CQ's.
Utilize Advanced Scientific Injection Molding Principles developed and taught through Routsis Web based training.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Five (5) Years' experience in process troubleshooting using scientific molding, auxiliary equipment, mold temperature controllers, hot runners, sprue pickers, robots, conveyors, etc.
Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
Work weekends, Work overtime, Work rotating shifts.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Two (2) year technical degree in a molding or maintenance related field.
Drives 5S and cleanliness on shift.
Ability to work with and communicate in an effective manner, both verbal and written.
Strong mechanical aptitude, background, and experience.
Self-motivated, team oriented, and good interpersonal skills.
Travel: No travel required
Relocation Assistance: Not eligible for relocation
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
