Job Overview
Shields Manufacturing is recruiting for a Plastics Fabricator.
Essential Duties:
Fabricate and assemble plastic products utilizing techniques to weld, cut, form, bend and shape plastic to meet precise design specifications.
Use power tools, hand tools hand welders, and precision equipment to construct plastic products.
Read work orders and interpret drawings/prints in order to plan and carry out the precise design specifications for each product.
Work with area lead to refine fabrication techniques and improve manufacturing repeatability.
Work with area lead to establish priorities; notify lead of any shortages or problems that might affect the schedule.
Education/Qualifications:
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
One year in plastics welding and fabrication using industry standards preferred.
Ability to use measuring equipment.
Ability to read and understand blue prints and instructions as well as geometric tolerances.
Ability to communicate effectively with coworker, area Lead, and management.
Must be a self-starter & self-motivated.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
Problem solving skills.
Ability to multi-task and work well in a team environment
