Plant Engineering Intern/Co-Op

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Plant Engineering Intern/Co-Op , are to:

• Review Bayer's maintenance standards and participate in generating strategy document;
• Align maintenance standards across site to improve consistency of maintenance task and improve equipment reliability;
• Extract, organize, and analyze sitewide SAP and Pi Historian data;
• Partner with technical system owners in equipment walk downs to verify detailed technical drawings, and alignment to maintenance and reliability standards;
• Participate in generation of conditional based maintenance scope documents;
• Incorporate energy savings initiative by compiling list of equipment across site and evaluate category of energy conservation;
• Investigate expansion of conditional based maintenance, by research and devices that can improve maintenance standards and overall equipment reliability;
• Evaluate and execute sustainability project related to carbon emission reduction.

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate or Graduate Engineering Student;
• Currently enrolled in an engineering program;
• Strong verbal and written communication;
• Ability to work independently and multi-task;
• Good organization and documentation skills;
• Strong problem-solving skills together with an overall desire to learn;
• Effective computer skills and well versed in Microsoft Office;
• Proficient programming skills in Excel VBA or other languages;
• Demonstrated potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, and collaboration with others and independent thought.
