The Impact You'll Make in this Role
Our products are critical to the development of life saving therapies, treatments, and vaccines. supporting the delivery of vital products to our biopharma customers.
As a Plant Electrician/ Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve electrical/control systems
Drive control components, I/O, PLC devices & logic
Field control devices
Network systems and communication
Perform independent preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on
Web handling production equipment, ultrasonic welders, pleaters, pumps, heat exchangers, building HVAC, and facility utilities
Perform basic welding, machining, and fabrication tasks using shop equipment, power tools, and precision measurement instruments
Document work in maintenance tracking systems and develop/refine standard work for maintenance activities
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
Minimum of three (3) years of mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic work in a private, public, government or military environment.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Possess or be in the last 6 months of pursuing a two-year technical degree or certificate program in an engineering or maintenance related field (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, Robotics & Automation, etc.)
Possess good documentation skills and can read and understand electrical / mechanical prints
Basic understanding of predictive/preventative maintenance and condition monitoring techniques
Ability & willingness to work
Rotating weekends as needed
Overtime
Holidays as needed
Travel: Not required
Relocation: Is not authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
