The Plant and System Design Manager is responsible for leading the system design and plant interface for an integrated airflow and heat management system for carbon capture. This involves initial conceptual designs and scaling up to commercial scale systems for production.
As the Mosaic Plant and System Design Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing a team of chemical and process engineers and work in a cross functional fashion with mechanical engineers and sourcing personnel to develop a new system design/commercial product from an early technology stage.
- Selling product/solution value.
- Responsible for system technical discussions, first installs of a demo scale plant, resolving single product issues
- Driving a design that meets all product requirements including product cost, performance, and manufacturing methods/standardization
- Reviewing and submitting patents
- Reviewing progress and evaluating results of team efforts
- Planning and assigning personnel for given projects or tasks and deliverables.
- Reviewing progress with commercial and technology leaders.
- Providing work direction mentoring for less experienced engineers and technicians
- Acting as a primary technical interface in concert with the controls, materials and mechanical development teams.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and 10+ years of experience in engineering product development
- Have demonstrated project management skills.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Have effective interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Be able to analyze and resolve problems effectively and efficiently
- Be able to lead, document, plan, market, and execute programs/projects
