Job Overview

This position is responsible for assisting the Pipe fitters on assemblying skids. It consists of installing equipment such as pumps, exchangers, blowers, heaters. Installing pipe spools, bolting up valves, running lines of threaded pipe, installing intrumentation items, torquing bolt up connections, assisting to perform pressure testing on all piping on skids, assisting to pull hard measuremnets, etc.

Skills needed :

Basic math skills.

Know the propper way to tighten and torque a bolt up connection.

Know the names of the tools used in the trade and know how to use them.

Ability to run lines of threaded pipe with minimum supervision. (plumb, level and square)

Ability to identify the most commonly used fittings and valves used in the gas industry.

Experience reading Isometric drawing (isos) is a plus.

Experience running stainless steel tubing is a plus.

-Ability to read and understand the measure tape down to the 16ths of an inch.

- Ability to drive a fork lift and a man-lift

Job's Minimum Requirements :

- Be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.

- Be able to work 60-70 hrs. per week.

- Ability to work on the weekends.

- Be able and willing to work at hights of up to 100 feet inside a man-lift basket.

- Be able to work 10-12 hrs a day.

- Be able to come to work everyday on time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
