Job Overview
Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a leading multi-line insurance broker to find their next Personal Lines Account Manager (hybrid). They are one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage firms in the U.S. with nearly Agency Partner locations globally.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will have the primary responsibility answering and forwarding phone calls, taking payment, processing mortgage/lienholder changes, data input for cancellations and reinstatements, processing towing bills. The individual is expected to provide prompt, accurate, and courteous service to those clients.
- Service assigned customer accounts including obtaining rates from carriers and providing quotes for new and renewal risks.
- Prepare customer correspondence including proposals, coverage summaries, EPI, binders, ID cards, cancellation letters, etc.
- Answer customer and carrier phone calls fielding/answering questions.
- Review policy and endorsements for accuracy; Report errors to insurance carrier for correction.
- Initiate, screen, and prepare policy and endorsement requests for issuance and ensure prompt delivery.
- Interface with others to obtain and deliver information, quotations, policy changes, etc. as necessary.
- Input and update customer and policy information in account management systems.
- Process agency invoicing and assist to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Handle confidential customer information.
- Prioritize workload and/or request assistance as needed.
- Maintain accurate and updated suspense file.
- Work independently and within a team on special and nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
- Ability to round out/upsell accounts.
- Ability to help expand and grow the Personal Lines book of business.
- Assist with client claim issues, concerns, and problems.
Requirements:
- Property & Casualty insurance license
- 3-5 years of insurance experience preferred
Technology Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Knowledge of Agency Management Systems; Applied Epic a plus
Qualifications:
- Organized, detail-oriented, and efficient
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work
- Ability to effectively work with others
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude
- Excellent phone etiquette, interpersonal skills, verbal and written communications skills
