Job Overview
Job Type: Full Time Overnight, Part Time, Flex
SALARY: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour (Depending on site, not experience)
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, but it's a plus. We train!
We are seeking reliable and trustworthy Patrol Security Officers to join the ACT Security Group team! The selected individual(s) will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons. Observe and report, no arrests/apprehensions. State guard licensing assistance available.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor premises in a marked vehicle to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Warn and report violators of rules and regulations.
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water.
• Request emergency personnel for as needed.
• Strong attention to detail.
Patrol Guard Licensing Qualifications:
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Clean driving history for the last 3 years.
• Must be able to be licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety - Private Security. We can assist with the application process and state required examination.
• No Felony convictions 10 years from conviction date, Class A misdemeanors 5 years from conviction date and Class B misdemeanors 2 years from the conviction date involving crimes of moral turpitude. Learn more at Texas Administrative Code (state.tx.us)
• Criteria that may indicate an unacceptable or "not clear" record includes, but is not limited to:
• Three or more moving violations in one year. This includes any ticket, charge, or other law enforcement proceeding relating to these.
• Two or more chargeable accidents within a year. Chargeable means that the driver is determined to be the primary cause of the accident through speeding, inattention, etc.; contributing factors, such as weather or mechanical problems, will be taken into consideration.
• Any three combinations of accidents and/or moving violations within a year.
