Quad is currently hiring for a Part-Time Building Maintenance Tech at our Lomira plant.

The Building Maintenance Tech has diverse responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, those included in this job description. All duties must be performed with a professional and courteous attitude, with minimal supervision, in compliance with all safety and corporate policies, and on schedule.

• Painting
  • Hand brush or roll paint buildings, areas, equipment, and furniture and prepare surfaces prior to painting. Determine type and kind of materials needed, time allowance between coats and number required, adequacy of surface preparation and areas to be painted according to verbal and written instructions. Perform such typical operations as thinning product to proper consistency, applying primer, seal and undercoats to such items as office interiors; apply finish and/or protective coats to walls and ceilings. Erect scaffolding.

• General Building Maintenance
  • Perform filter changes, replace and recycle used light bulbs, and complete other maintenance tasks and assist in other areas as directed.
  • Responsible for performing skilled mechanical maintenance work in the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service and repair of plumbing, piping, and other building and print production support equipment.
  • Responsible for repair and maintenance of Recycling Systems (Balers, Blowers HVAC systems, refrigeration systems on walk-in coolers, icemakers, and air dryers for air compressors, air compressors, vacuum pumps, electric motors, belt drives and mechanical couplings. This position requires familiarity with building control systems and a good understanding of chillers and chill water systems, chemical treatment and water softeners, as well as experience working with overhead doors, fire doors, dock equipment, rail dock equipment, toilets, urinals, drain cleaning, tracing the origin of roof leaks, and temporary repairs. Contribute to an accident-free work environment by complying with all company rules and regulations

• Grounds Maintenance
  • The groundskeeping crew has a variety of tasks assigned to them. The tasks fluctuate due to jobs being completed, seasonal preparations, environmental changes, altered priorities, or the need for assistance in other areas. Duties and responsibilities include preparation and maintenance of flower beds. Sod, flower, shrub, and tree installation and care. Mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and thatching of existing sod. Maintaining indoor plants. Installation and repair of irrigation systems. Removal of deadwood in trees and shrubs; hedge trimming, insect removal, and other maintenance to trees and shrubs. General care of grounds vehicles and equipment. Snow removal (plowing, shoveling, salting and sanding). Other miscellaneous grounds tasks as directed.

• Furniture Installation and Tear Down
  • Manage the unloading, staging, and uncrating of product. Inspect product, note and report any damage. Prepare the job site for installation. Interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications. Review delivery tickets and product tagging to ensure that parts are correct. Install product. Maintain a clean and safe work site, clean up trash, use appropriate waste and recycling receptacles for materials no longer needed, and remove waste from site when necessary. Maintain a complete set of tools at all times. Complete paperwork and reports on a timely basis. Other duties and installation tasks as assigned.

Position Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in any one or more areas included in this job description is a plus
• Valid driver license
• Must be able to contribute to team efforts
• Certification to operate platform and boom lift desirable, but will provide training if necessary
• Must be able to travel out of state for extended periods of time, as needed
• Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and climb ladders up to heights of 10 feet
• Must be able to work as scheduled, rotate shifts as required, and work overtime if needed
• Must be able to lift, from a standing position, carry, and transport up to 15 pounds
