Era Living is seeking a full-time Painter to become the newest member of our Maintenance team located in our University House Issaquah community, in Issaquah, WA

Primary Responsibilities:

The Painter is responsible for painting rooms, hallways and apartments in our community; hanging wallpaper; and helping maintain and upgrade facilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of practices, tools, equipment and techniques associated with painting trade
  • Ability to perform routine plastering, texturing, painting, carpentry and maintenance in a thorough and efficient manner
  • Basic knowledge of standard hand and power tools and equipment used in painting activities; ability to use and operate hand and power tools as needed in a safe, efficient manner
  • Basic knowledge of safety standards/precautions pertaining to painting and ability to read and follow MSDS recommendations and requirements.
  • Ability to follow all OBRA, OSHA and L&I requirements ensuring personnel and resident safety at all times.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Ability to perform duties in compliance with established Universal Precautions, fire safety, infection control and sanitation procedures, and Era Living policies and procedures
  • Ability to pass DSHS background check, required
  • Must comply with the Washington State COVID-19 vaccination requirement for healthcare workers

Education and Experience:

  • One year technical school training or equivalent experience
