DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The purpose of the position is to safely receive grain, maintain grain quality, blend and load out grain to optimum grade specifications and perform maintenance on grounds, facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities included, but not limited to:

• Load and unload railcars and trucks
• Assist with grain handling
• Operate grain dryer
• General housekeeping and labor
• Understand and safely operate the equipment assigned
• Consistently follows all laws, regulations, and safety rules (including PPE)
• Assist with the maintenance of equipment and plant
• Maintain positive communication with the supervisor and customers as needed
• Properly complete necessary paperwork and records
• Assist with other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to:

• Prolonged periods of standing and sitting
• Working in confined spaces and from heights
• Bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders
• Working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc)
• Lift up to 35 lbs unassisted
• Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in team setting when needed
• Safety oriented
• Exhibit a professional image at all times; maintain a positive and respectful attitude
• Previous experience with conveying equipment and welding is preferred
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
• Engage in clean-up work and housekeeping duties.
• Be familiar with and apply all safety rules and procedures.
• Work in all areas of the plant and change shifts as necessary.
• Be willing and able to work extended hours six or seven days a week during busy seasons
• Possess the willingness to adapt as well as seasonal variations in workload responsibilities
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision
