Our Detroit branch is looking for a new Operational Service Representative to join their Sea Logistics team. Your Role The Operational Service Representative ensures that our internal customers' experience is a positive one every time they engage with the Operational Care Center. Specifically, the Operational Service Representative is part of a team within Operational Care Center (OCC), who manage direct interaction with CCL's - Customer Care Locations. The Operational Service Representative oversees proactive customer service, problem solving, follow up, and interaction with our customer service colleagues. In your role as a Operational Service Representative, you will work with the Customer Care Locations, the Operational Care Center, and US Customs and Border Protection/DHS to ensure accurate, and complete reporting of customs-related statuses for import and export cargo. You will also manage the operational processes with Kuehne + Nagel Trade Control teams, to insure continued adherence to national and international trade regulations. You will help communicate updated expectations with the wider operational teams, through trainings and operational guidance. Your Responsibilities

• You will maintain files related to all assigned shipments, including cross-referencing against standard operating procedures and supplier authorizations
• Collaborate with all company offices, especially in customs release and trade compliance capacities
• Data processing and analysis for reporting to Customs and Border Protection through online systems
• Maintain real-time visibility of our customers' shipments, including communicating any change with partners to ensure customs filing
• Monitor, prioritize and balance customer specific needs daily by answering queries and requests through multi channel communication streams.
• Collaborate with the system process team to bring automation use related to Compliance and Customs release processes.
• Collaborate with the Customer Care Location to ensure we meet their customer commitments by analyzing customer contracts and customs release needs, including education and affirmation of legal/trade control requirements
• Promote operational compliance by assisting with trainings, written knowledge bases, and answering daily operational questions

Your Skills and Experiences

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience
• Ability to travel
• Fluent in English and Spanish
