Location Specific Information This position is remote and based at a single customer site in the Boston area. Discover Impactful Work: As a Site Engineer - Customer Success, you are responsible for handling all aspects of field service support, customer relationship management and providing detailed reports to the customer. The successful candidate will provide service on liquid chromatography systems, including installation, and preventive maintenance. A Day in the Life: Coordinating service requests with the customer and assisting schedulers with ticket dispatch Must be customer focused, working in conjunction with Service and Sales teams Perform on-site installation and preventive maintenance of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) including UV detectors and Charged Aerosol Detector (CAD) at customer labs. Schedule and track service calls, handle personal parts inventories Provide accurate and timely completion of service reports, expense reports and other administrative tasks. Train customers on HPLC and IC equipment and software. Review customer data to determine health and functioning of equipment and run factory protocols to determine equipment functionality Communicate and escalate repair diagnostic and information with engineering, customer service, and other internal personnel to expedite repairs. Review technical bulletins and factory communications to stay up to date. Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer. Regularly attend factory provided technical and service training on newest and latest chromatography products developed by Thermo Fisher Scientific. Company car, cell phone and laptop computer are provided Keys to Success Education: BS degree in Sciences, Engineering, Electronics or equivalent experience. Military or trade school equivalency will be considered. Experience: 2-4 years of experience managing customer relations required Previous customer service/contract management experience required 0-2 years of experience operating or maintaining laboratory analytical equipment preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Strong communication skills Strong customer service skills Ability to work cross functionally with various departments and businesses Must have valid driver license The applicant must live less than a 1hr weekday commute of downtown Cambridge, MA Ability to travel up to 25% overnight domestic travel Ability to work overtime and/or outside regular business hours, and/or on-call work Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds Our Mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
