Job Overview

This position is responsible for a wide variety of manual tasks aimed at keeping oil and gas production running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Well site cleanup. Hauling debris away from sites areas but can also include tasks like handling spills to prevent accidents and injuries. In this aspect of the role, a roustabout may also need to operate loader-lifters, dump trucks, and forklifts to haul out heavy material and properly dispose of it.

Transport and store materials. Transport materials to work sites and properly store them. May involve operating heavy machinery to place materials.

Install equipment. Load and offload equipment and ensure proper installation. This may include setting and welding pipe, installing engines for drills and pumps, and setting flow lines, and inspect equipment prior to and during extraction activities to ensure proper function.

Repair pump equipment. Make repairs on pumps and related equipment to ensure a steady flow of oil or gas and prevent leaks and other hazards. May work in cramped underground or elevated areas to conduct emergency repairs with hand and power tools while maintaining safety and preventing fires or equipment failure.

Follows all Environmental, Health & Safety procedures.

Supports field production activities as needed.

Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical courses or certificate in mechanics, mechanical, or industrial desirable.

Minimum one year experience as a Roustabout in oil and gas production and well operations.

Familiar with standard concepts, practices, regulations, and procedures within the Barnett Shale play.

A self-starter who can get the job done with minimal supervision.

Regularly drives to various field sites across company acreage to work.
