JOB TITLE: OIL PRE BLEND MIXER JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY Production of Oil Pre Blends. Supports the production operation by completing large batches of pre blended oil prior to need by the buttery spreads lines. Pre-blend mixer is responsible for unloading oil. Responsible for coordinating materials transfers to the work area. Responsible for area inventory control and lot traceability. Mixer will be responsible for assisting in the training and breaks. Support the review, understanding and compliance of all programs, policies and procedures contained in the Food Safety and Quality Management System. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES % OF ITEM TIME JOB FUNCTIONS 1. 70% Transfer raw materials to the pre blending area. Operate pre blending system via HMI in Automatic and Manual functions. Interpret production schedule to determine pre blend mixing requirements. Produce pre blended oil mix in time to support buttery spreads production. Document raw material usage on batch sheets. Authorize pre blend transfers to buttery spreads lines. Perform system and area cleanup operations. 2. 10% Document inventory levels and inventory transfers into work area. Investigate inventory discrepancies as needed. 3. 10% Performs batch mixing and ingredient weighing as directed by supervisor. 5. 10% Performs other tasks and duties as required by the supervisor. ____________________ TOTAL 100% POSITION DIMENSIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS Internal Contacts: Managers, Supervisors, Maintenance personnel, QC/QA, and Production and Accounting Departments. External Contacts: NA Education Level and Focus: High School diploma. Years and Type of Related Experience Required: 1 year experience in manufacturing environment preferred. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Interpersonal and Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills in formal and informal sittings. Individual should be able to conduct him/herself professionally, have a high level of integrity and be able to demonstrate a sense of urgency. Perform duties with minimal supervision. Be able to attend work regularly and on time. Technical and Analytical: Able to operate HMI, good filing and organizational skills. Good basic math skills. Administrative and Operations: Excellent time management skills, ability to set priorities and work under pressure, ability to handle multiple tasks. Physical Demands: Sitting for long periods, standing, walking, lifting. Work Environment: Noisy, congested environment with frequent interruptions. May be hot or cold. Wet forklift and pedestrian traffic. This is a Safety Sensitive Position. Special Equipment Used: Computer/HMI, telephone, calculators, all other office related equipment. Forklift, pallet jack.
