This role will manage the scope of the offshore electrical substation platform. This person will be managing and co-ordinating the offshore fabricators, designers, and supply chain during the project development phase through project delivery of an offshore AC and DC substation solutions for Offshore Wind Farm projects. How You'll Make an Impact Primary contact and interface manager for all engineering topics between Siemens Energy System Design, Equipment Engineering, and the Fabrication Yard Engineering Team. Engineering design coordination between the Siemens Energy system design disciplines in Germany, and distribution of information to the respective technical leads. Organization and management of design coordination meetings and workshops with fabrication yard and Siemens Energy. Lead the technical documentation and resolution of design interface issues, changes, and claims. Ensure that the engineering deliverables meet the schedule dates, reporting and escalations to the Project Manager of possible delays or risk in the project design The candidate should be flexible to travel locally and internationally to customer meetings and to project sites. Approximate travel is 30%. As a federal contractor, Siemens Energy continues to monitor federal and state legal guidelines regarding the COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers What You Bring BS degree in engineering is required, MS preferred. 8 or more-years of experience with a focus on coordinating complex multidiscipline projects. Experience with turnkey EPC high-voltage GIS and HVDC substations is preferred. Fluent in English, excellent communication skills with clients, subconsultants, and subcontractors.
