Job Summary
The Nuclear Manufacturing Technologies Team is a dynamic organization that maximizes up-times, efficiencies, utilizations, inventories, and overall level of quality by leading and enabling Nuclear Manufacturing modernization through innovation and technology while providing quality solutions and support to existing manufacturing technologies.

The Nuclear Manufacturing Technologies Mechanical Technician is responsible for providing safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery to internal manufacturing teams and their production equipment. The technician plans and executes maintenance and repairs on production equipment and identifies opportunities for improvement.

The Nuclear Manufacturing Technologies Mechanical Technician works on projects in collaboration with a mechanical engineer, machinist, and mechanical drafter and is responsible to meeting the project objectives in a timely fashion.

In addition, the Nuclear Manufacturing Technologies Mechanical Technician improves maintenance related nonproductive time ratio of production equipment and improves Nuclear Manufacturing maintenance efficiencies.
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Participate in pre-job and toolbox meetings with team members
  • Identify and report potential safety risks and/or improvements
  • Work in accordance with established safety procedures
  • Complete all required safety trainings
  • Maintain equipment according to procedures, reporting problems or deviations
  • Identify opportunities to improve the maintenance process
  • Participate in failure investigations when relevant
  • Participate in continuous improvement culture, initiatives, and improvement plans to improve asset utilization, up-time, reliability, and cost of service delivery
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to improve the efficiency and productivity of maintenance technicians
  • Maintain familiarity with company technology, organization, and business.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to improve asset down-time through reduction of assets waiting for maintenance, down for parts or repair, down for failure, and work-in-process.
  • Participate in periodic technical audits and CAT compliance assessments. Follow up on maintenance related remedial action plan closures.
  • Ensure implementation of maintenance program.
Minimum Job Requirements: Education, Training/Skills, and Legal Requirements
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship
  • Successful background check and denied party screening
  • Highschool graduate or equivalent; Mechanical trade, associates, or equivalent desired
  • >2yrs relevant mechanical maintenance and/or repair work experience
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient with reading mechanical drawings
  • Tubing fitting, bending knowledge/experience a plus
  • TIG welding knowledge/experience a plus
  • Vacuum systems (ovens, pumps, chambers) knowledge/experience a plus
