Job Overview
The North American Building Insulation (NABI) Program Leader supports our Fiberglass insulation business delivering new and innovative product designs, end-user driven innovation strategies, and strong leadership. This role is responsible for new product innovation resulting in new product concepts as well as specifications to optimize the function, value and appearance of fiberglass-based products and systems for the mutual benefit of the end-user and the manufacturer. Leading a team of individuals to deliver on key projects and priorities for the business. This position works closely with Product Managers, R&D, Building Science, Sales, and Manufacturing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Guides the development of products of superior quality and unmatched performance (30%)
- Identifies the key physical properties and performance attributes driving End-User preferences, choices, and satisfaction in the context of fiberglass-based insulation products.
- Deeply understands the fundamentals of Industrial Design and Rapid Prototyping and translate these into superior quality and differentiated product performance.
- Defines, develops, and delivers differentiated concepts and products with demonstrated End-User preference and choice.
- Translates customer and end-user needs into winning product development strategies including new and improved product manufacturing practices leading to superior product performance.
- Drives innovative products and performance claims and demos to the marketplace.
- Leads projects from concept through to commercialization, for large cross-functional teams, and ensuring consistent alignment with the business strategy throughout the project. Projects to be managed through Stage Gate processes.
- Integrates technical and commercial capabilities to drive innovation. Implement disciplined, transparent, and focused approaches to solve problems through science and technology fundamentals.
- Leads projects to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Implements all projects deliverables in alignment with customer and business requirements and any approved scope changes.
- Provide leadership to Product Research and Development team though coaching, mentoring, and support of development of organizational capabilities.
- Work with team on career development through the creation of growth and development plans.
- Identify and recruit early career talent to ensure a strong pipeline of talent within the ISB R&D Organization.
- Provide coaching and mentoring within and outside of the NABI product research and development team.
Cross-Functional Leadership and Innovation (20%)
- Leads innovation pipeline development for NABI in partnership with product management.
- Key member of PRB leadership team. Coordinates monthly PRB agenda with product management and Velocity Management partners.
- Participates in Leadership Meetings for insights and translate back to team for alignment & focus.
- Develop and lead cross-insulation R&D capabilities training programs for broadening and developing capabilities within ISB R&D.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Engineering, Chemistry
- 5+ years people leadership
- 5+ years' experience in technical, program/project management, product development/research, commercialization and/or innovation roles.
- 2+ years of experience planning and conducting ethnographic fieldwork, qualitative research, and quantitative research.
- Highly entrepreneurial with proven track record of success.
- 25-35% travel required
- 3-5 years of experience planning and conducting ethnographic fieldwork, qualitative research, and quantitative research. Experience with diverse data collection methods such as participant-observation, semi-structured interviewing, audiovisual techniques, and survey methods.
