Designcraft Prototypes is the Premier Visual Model and Prototype shop in the Chicago area specializing in Visual and Functional Prototypes for the Consumer Goods, Aerospace, and Military industries. Our custodian has retired after 16 years of service with our company. We are looking for a new custodian to help keep our company looking as great as he did!

- All cleaning supplies are provided by the company.

- 24 hr/week part-time schedule. 4-10pm, 4 days per week - flexible.

- Responsible for both an office environment & warehouse. We are looking for someone with great attention to detail & pride in one's work.

Responsibilities

• Duties include cleaning, sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash, windows and other custodial functions as directed.
• Replenish paper towels, soap, toilet paper and other supplies in washrooms.
• Use walk-behind power floor scrubber & applicable cleaning tools / chemicals.
• Rotating weekly tasks include cleaning of washrooms, cafeteria, conference rooms & warehouse.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED certificate; minimum of (2) years previous custodial and/or maintenance experience.
• C ontribute to a positive work environment, be dependable and on time.
• Ability to read, write and fluently speak English.
• This position requires constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching over head, reaching forward type activities.
• Must be able to lift and and/or carry 25 lbs.
• Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital or school is a plus.

Compensation

• $17.50/hr
• Vacation: 11 accrued days per year.
• 7 Paid Holidays per year.
