Job Description Summary:
The Neuro Interventional Radiology Technologist begins employment with a 3 month orientation in 20+ procedures performed in the neuro-interventional lab. The technologist must become competent as the scrub assistant to the Interventional Radiologist performing invasive procedures. They must maintain competency in the operating and use of angiographic fluoroscopy, and be able to manage 300+ products in the inventory of the lab. The technologist assists in performing many NeuroInterventional surgical procedures such as cerebral aneurysm coilings, avascular malformations and stroke interventions. This department performs 2,000 procedures annually.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree (Required)ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
Graduate of an accredited radiography program; current registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Current Ohio Licensure in Radiography. Knowledge of anatomy, exposure, positioning, Physics, radiation protection, medical terminology, and intravenous injection. BLS Certification
