Responsibilities

• Autonomously navigate tasks with minimal guidance, driving work request completion.

• Clone and deploy OS images onto clients

• Update firmware on different devices, specifically pre-production SSDs

• Track technical issues and resolutions

• Read and analyze failure logs, providing a quick summary to Test/FW developers

• Setup server hardware for testing

• Track and manage the test resource including rack, system, module, and bench

• Maintaining test servers and modules with latest OS, firmware, software

• Perform test on server hardware systems and modules

• Collect test results

• Perform issue duplication and isolation

• Support system debug work

• Monitor/track test runs and recover "unresponsive" clients, report out status

• Assist with validation and verification of new hardware platforms

• Test development, automation and failure analysis

• Perform thermal, mechanical, electrical, and firmware integration of next generation data center cooling technologies

Requirements
• BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or related degree, with 3+ years of industry experience in data center equipment testing

• Experience working in a laboratory or industrial environment on thermal-fluids testing preferred

• Linux OS familiarity

• Experience with server hardware testing, test automation scripting in Python

• Experience with control and data acquisition software and instrument calibration

• Skill to gather data with script

• Skill to gather, process, and summarize test data and result

• Experience with setting up test beds for SI testing (High BW Scopes and BERT Scopes)

• Experience with PCIe electrical testing for Gen3.0, Gen4.0 and Gen5.0

• Experience and understanding of using PCIe test fixtures.

• Experience with system function, stability, and power consumption testing

• Experience with stress test tool with CPU, memory, storage, and I/O subsystem

• Experience with server BMC

• Experience with environmental testing fixtures and chambers

• A positive attitude towards challenges and solving complex problems.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

• A creative "out of the box" mindset towards overcoming challenges

Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour
