Mountain Alarm Fire and Security is currently hiring for a Service Technician in our Nampa, Idaho branch.
Position Summary:
Service Technicians are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service and preventative maintenance on electrical, sprinkler and/or suppression fire alarm systems. Technicians will be working with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Conducting service calls for commercial customers
System testing and inspecting to the prescribed NFPA standards
Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers fire protection and suppression equipment
Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports
Ensure a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
Maintain a clean and safe work environment on and off-site
Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management
Ability to use a variety of hand tools
Has excellent attendance and punctuality
Dress in appropriate attire
Acts in a professional manner
Education & Required Skills:
High School Diploma/GED
Ability to work with small tools as assigned (i.e. screw driver, hammer, etc.)
Ability to install, inspect, program, or service fire alarm, fire suppression, and or fire sprinkler systems.
Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Exemplary customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must read and speak English
Strong Time Management Skills
Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized
Must have clean driving record and a valid Driver's License
Experience:
1-2 years prior experience in inspections, field service, and/or installation preferred.
