The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Multi-Craft Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Maintenance of all equipment, including breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and facility support.
Support production operations on all mechanical and electrical problems on a variety of machines such as but not limited to conveyors, gearboxes, chemical pumps, valves, pneumatic and electrical actuators, and any other electro-mechanical devices in general.
Must be able to install, troubleshoot, repair, replace and maintain electrical motors, contactors, relays, push buttons, pilot lights, and switches.
Work from prints, diagrams, work orders, code books, drawings, sketches, schematics, written and verbal instructions to repair, troubleshoot, adjust reassemble and maintain processes, and machinery using a knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatic, electronics, electrical, compressed air, and natural/propane gas systems.
Knowledgeable in the use of a variety of hand and power tools. Operates welders, drill presses and hydraulic/mechanic presses, lathes, mills, saws, and hand tools.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
Minimum of five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
Ability work on weekends, short notice shift coverage and holidays as needed.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Completion of Federally-Certified (8,000 hours) formal industrial manufacturing skilled craft training program.
Any electrical, instrumentation/technical training
Travel: May include up to 0% domestic/international
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
