The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Long-Range Initial Production (LRIP) & DevSecOps Mid-Level Manager to join the Autonomous Systems (AS) MQ-25 Stingray program located in Hazelwood, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
This role is a dynamic, innovative, customer-focused leader role within the Software Engineering Capability. We are seeking a strong leader to be the software technology trailblazer and build a team to develop the next generation of MQ-25 Software products. This manager will drive MQ-25 LRIP software development focusing on subsystem obsolescence updates and lead DevSecOps pipelines transition to meet customer requirements. Day-to-day activities include but are not limited to program execution, engineering skill management, and career development activities.
The MQ-25 is a new autonomous aircraft system designed to provide the U.S. Navy with a much-needed robust refueling capability. The MQ-25 will allow for better use of combat strike fighters by extending the range of deployed Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet, Boeing EA-18G Growler, and Lockheed Martin F-35C aircraft. It will also seamlessly integrate with a carrier's catapult and launch and recovery systems.
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in Hazelwood, MO.
Position Responsibilities:
This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret US Security clearance (Post-Start).

Position Responsibilities:
- Provide execution oversight on key software development efforts on MQ-25 LRIP subsystem obsolescence software updates to ensure technical integrity and engineering excellence
- Work closely with Boeing Enterprise Project Element DevSecOps team in adopting new innovative technologies to the MQ-25 System Software IPT
- Support the team's transition to world class tools and processes to achieve industry leading SW development performance
- Work with the MQ-25 System Software Senior Manager to create and implement strategies that further the MQ-25 business portfolio and increase cross-program collaboration
- Identify and implement improvement initiatives aligning with customer requirements and Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) standards
- Building positive working relationships with both the MQ-25 program customer and supporting USN program offices
- Work with the Software Capability to establish resource pipelines that meet staffing needs
- Talent management, including skill and career development of 18+ software engineers; tracking and coordination of employee development plans
- Maintain and brief software execution status to program and Autonomous Systems leadership
- Establish and maintain a culture of standardized work management practices
- Oversee and contribute to proposal technical content

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 5+ years of hands on experience with real-time embedded software development in Ada and/or C++
- 5+ years of hands on experience in all phases of the software development life cycle (requirements, design, code, test)
- 3+ years of experience managing teams in a software engineering field
- Experience in Agile software development and Continuous delivery (CI/CD)
- Experience integrating large scale software systems
- Experience with Atlassian tool chain
- Experience working with external software suppliers
- Experience in Earned Value Management
