The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TEEC) includes all of the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on all Raytheon Missile Defense (RMD) products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test including test requirements, test system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental testing, environmental characterization and engineering laboratory management. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.

Job Description:
RMD - Systems Test Directorate is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for TEEC.

The selected candidate will contribute to and/or provide leadership for multidiscipline engineering teams performing design, development and integration of RMD test products within TEEC. Typical work involves the development of both engineering and production test equipment, environments and systems. As such, the candidate will contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development, and will be responsible for performing technical, cost and schedule management of their assigned projects. They will be expected to act, either as a part of a team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products.

This position is focused on supporting legacy production test equipment on site in the factory and may be involved in the design, development, integration, test, and maintenance of software for TEEC. The selected candidate will develop solutions to resolve test equipment modification requests and is expected to work with operations to ensure their solution is integrated and regression tested following the TEEC processes and best practices.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.


Required Experience:

Minimum of five (5) years of professional engineering experience developing and implementing high order programming languages. Experience with C++, or C is required. Experience with HP BASIC is a plus

Minimum of five (5) years of professional engineering experience utilizing integrated development environments and debugging tools to troubleshoot software implementation and ensure integrity of the software products.

Extensive professional engineering experience working within a team environment. Experience with project and workload management, utilizing resources effectively to satisfy internal customers and implementation schedules.

Professional and consistent written and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to obtain a DoD issued Secret security clearance.

Desired Skills:

Working knowledge of computer architecture and computer hardware optimization techniques.

Experience with the development and integration of software drivers for the operation of computer hardware interfaces. Knowledge in common computer hardware interface and data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, RS-422. Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems.

Professional experience developing automated test systems.

Professional engineering experience with laboratory test instrumentation, electronics and software. Experience with NI VISA, NI Measurement and Automation Explorer, or NI Switch Executive.

Professional engineering experience prioritizing and handling multiple tasks in a production environment, developing solutions under only general direction, and demonstrating excellent troubleshooting skills.

Experience using Software Configuration Management principles, environments and tools.

Experience using model-based design and the Unified Modeling Language (UML) to visualize software architecture and design.
Experience with IBM Rhapsody or Cameo Enterprise Architecture.


Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree (BS), Master's Degree (MS), or Doctorate (PhD) in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Math or related fields.
