The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating or driving construction equipment, including bulldozers, forklifts, dump trucks, cargo trucks and hydraulic truck cranes. You would be assisting in constructing structures, including (X,Y &Z).

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate heavy equipment in compliance with safety regulations
Use equipment to move and unload heavy equipment such as vehicles and trailers
Ensure company equipment and all materials are up to date and safety compliant
Collect and dispose of any scraps, excess materials, and waste
Complete any required documentation and paperwork for the project
Monitoring and maintaining equipment and machinery
Setting up equipment daily and specific for each project

Qualifications:

Must have a CDL (commercial driver's license) A, B or C.
High school diploma or GED
Professional certification in forklift, bulldozers, loaders and backhoe loaders
OSHA Safety training
Three or four years of a combination of technical instruction and on the job training or field training
Follow all safety practices
Knowledge of first aid in the classroom as well as operating procedures
(IF THEY DRIVE A PILE-DRIVER)- Need a crane license in some cities and states
Ability to coordinate and move in tight spaces
Ability to read gauges, dials and other indicators
Troubleshoot any issues and fix the problems with critical thinking
Effective communication, including speaking, writing, active listening and taking instructions from management team
Advanced knowledge of reading blueprints and manuals
Great time management
Attention to detail to identify maintenance, product or operations issues

Pay Definition/Metrics:

Non-Exempt - Hourly; $22/hour - $26/hour ($2,500 Sign-On Bonus)

Physical Requirements:

Physical movements such as climbing, lifting and moving materials. Ability to stand, sit or be in other physically demanding positions for long periods of time.
