We are currently seeking a Mill Electrical Supervisor to join our team. This is a full time permanent role at our Atlantic Operations Touquoy mine in Middle Musquodoboit. Reporting to the Mill Electrical Superintendent, you are responsible for leading and directing an electrical crew, while ensuring they work in a safe and productive manner.

The Opportunity:

Administering and enforcing compliance to company policy and all federal, provincial, and company regulations.
Continually coordinating work with Maintenance and Operations to ensure optimal operations and minimal downtime.
Assigning, prioritizing and supervising the daily tasks for electrical and instrumentation technician, ensuring that the predictive and preventative maintenance programs are followed.
Assisting with planning and preparation of budgets for mill operations. Monitoring performance against budget and time schedule.
Partnering with the Operations team to ensure the right preventative and corrective maintenance is conducted at the right time and with the least disruption to production.
Monitoring the performance of those doing the work, and take action to improve the capability of the team to meet future needs through the development or selection of personnel.
Analyzing trends in safety, environment, maintenance and quality performance, as well as the consumption of resources, and implement actions to address negative variances, or to take advantage of opportunities as they arise.
Developing and implementing new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, reduce operating costs and achieve greater availability, while optimizing the use of labour and materials.
Counseling and coaching team members concerning performance, employee relations, safety, environmental compliance, productivity and cost control.
Leading a team of five to ten licensed trades people and apprentices.

Trade certification, technical diploma, or degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of safe and efficient industrial electrical practices, procedures and regulations.
Experience in maintenance and maintenance reliability in an industrial environment.
Experience supervising or leading a team preferred.
Previous experience with computer maintenance systems.
Ability to pass a background check.
Current unencumbered Class 5 Driver's License.
