Position Summary
With thousands of buildings on bases across North America, it's vital that our operations remain well maintained and secure at all times. As a Civil Engineer, you're responsible for solving the complex problems needed to keep these structures up to the highest standards. Your training will cover a wide breadth of tasks-including damage assessment, emergency repairs, disaster preparedness and biochemical weapons-to keep our facilities safe, secure and ready for combat if or when the need arises.
Primary Responsibilities
Direct the planning, design and maintenance of facilities and utilities.
Maintain emergency response force to cope with attacks, major accidents and natural disasters.
Plan and execute procedures to mitigate the effects and dispose of conventional, nuclear, chemical, biological and improvised explosive devices (IED).
Conduct engineering research, feasibility studies and surveys.

Qualifications
This is an active-duty position as an Air Force Reserve officer. To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:
Bachelor's degree with undergraduate degree in architecture or one of the following engineering specialties: architectural, civil, communications, electrical, electronic, environmental, environmental health, industrial, mechanical or construction engineering
Commission as an officer in the Air Force Reserve
Passing color vision as defined by correctly identifying at least 10 of 14 Ishihara Plates
Minimum height of 5'2" and maximum height of 6'8"
No record of claustrophobia (fear of confined spaces)
Candidate must have a valid, passing Air Force Physical Fitness score dated no more than six months prior to Navy EOD School class start date.
No record of emotional instability
Eligibility for top-secret security clearance
