Job Overview

Responsible for collaborating with engineering and manufacturing to ensure Tiffany & Co. quality standards are identified and maintained for new and existing products. Support quality control processes associated with procurement, manufacturing and refining of precious metals.

Key Accountabilities

Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for your position, as well as all safety procedures required at your worksite. Promptly report all incidents and safety issues to your supervisor.
Partner with engineering and manufacturing to support qualification of new/existing equipment, material, processes, and products ensuring they meet all TCO requirements.
Analyze, design, and test raw materials, components, assemblies or finished goods that meet product and quality requirements. Implement best practices and technology for use in metallurgical analysis.
Build partnerships within and across departments to promote efficiency and create a supportive work environment.
Lead and participate in corrective action process associated with metallurgical or processing issues. Manage assigned projects including root cause analysis and implementation to the end of achieving improved manufacturing and product performance.
Perform and evaluate metallurgical analyses then collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to recommend and implement solutions to problems. Document and communicate results of technical data.
Prepare and aggregate reports containing highly technical data to internal and external stakeholders. Prepare quality performance analytics/metrics to support corrective actions and continuous improvement activities.
Maintain quality control procedures and standards in the manufacturing process.

Required Qualifications

BS closely related field such as metallurgical engineering, metallurgy, or materials science.
5 years of industrial experience with heavy emphasis on precious metal.
Proficient in English, written and oral.
Ability to read and analyze technical drawing.
Strong analytical, research, and related skills
Solid project & time management skills
Possess driver's license
Ability and willingness to travel among the various Tiffany & Co. locations and vendors/suppliers

Preferred Qualifications

American Society for Quality certification in Quality Engineer or other
Working knowledge of JD Edwards System or other enterprise systems
CAD knowledge (Autocad, Rhino, Solidworks, other)
