Summary:

The MEP project manager is responsible for leading the activities of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering team.

Responsible for overseeing MEP production and quality control, as well as developing, implementing, and monitoring

MEP standards. Position will function as the subject matter expert, providing advice and guidance with respect to the

mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection aspects of projects.

This position is also involved in goal setting, budgeting, resource planning, and project prioritization. The MEP project manager

communicates closely with the Architectural Studio Directors to ensure MEP discipline needs are met. This role may be

called upon to support and resource business development needs as well.

Essential Functions:

- Provide design of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm and sprinkler systems for various retail, restaurant

and commercial projects.

- Monitor the progress of MEP design projects, to ensure compliance with design, specifications, building codes,

and contractual agreements, ensuring deadlines are met

- Oversee MEP production and ensure quality control

- Effectively provides technical and educational support to MEP production and architectural staff

- Review of mechanical, electrical, plumbing (drawings, specifications, etc.) for accuracy, code compliance,

constructability, and functionality

- Interact with Studio Directors and Design department to ensure documents are fully coordinated

- Develop, establish, and enforce MEP standards

- Ensure sufficient MEP support for all accounts within studio

- Meets with current clients and manages the yearly forecast

- Assists with marketing tasks, fee proposals and company policies

- Potential on site surveys and construction visits may be required

- Other related tasks as assigned
