External applicants must be eligible to work in the US. Your Role: EMD Electronics is seeking a Supervisor for its MEGASYS team at Phoenix, AZ. The Megasys Manager will lead all aspects of technicians working on systems that maintain supply of chemicals to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as Smart Phones, LED's, and Flat Screen TV's. This is a meaningful, hands-on, exciting job opportunity for people who want to join a growing business! MEGASYS is the branded name for EMD Electronics services offering where EMD Electronics technicians and engineers provide on-site gas and chemical/slurry management on an ongoing contractual basis. MEGASYS personnel are assigned on a full-time basis ranging from 7 day / 24-hour coverage to periodic service calls. The scope of supply includes services maintaining the operation, and repair of gas distribution equipment; bulk liquid gases management, gas blending equipment; life safety systems, and first responder services. They will ensure compliance in operation and procedures, emergency preparedness, and drive flawless execution. This is a site management level position with the primary responsibility being for the overall direction and leadership of the on-site Megasys operations team. The Megasys Manager will support the Northern Phoenix facility. Occasional travel for training or strategic meetings may be required. Responsibilities include ensuring the customer scope of service is accurately supported and resourced to attain safe operations, operational excellence, and customer happiness. The Megasys Manager will be the primary customer interface for site wide operational issues. The Megasys Manager will help develop and drive site goals and objectives, develop a team of managers, and improve overall site safety and quality performance by focusing on a set of department issues. This position will maintain and foster customer relationships by daily communication, anticipating and meeting customer needs, and delivering on commitments. This position will require interfacing with a large contingent of internal and external departments. This position is directly responsible for a multi-functional operation and requires a comprehensive understanding of gas and chemical delivery systems for the purpose of technical communications with the customer and other supporting departments within the organization. Responsibilities include: Coordinating various aspects of the operations that include, but are not limited to, process safety management, system design and modification, factory innovation engineering support, and various continuous improvement activities Employee development, reviews and key performance analysis Technical writing and reporting, such as process safety reporting Reviewing and approving site level management of change, as well as in-house quality system management Performing audits Direct report time approval, including corrections and excused absences in time management system Establishing and cascading goals and objectives for overall site operations Appropriate staffing levels, training, and support of site activities Supporting operations manager in prioritization of resources and site initiatives that align with organizational and customer goals Supporting the customer Emergency Response Team as First Responders for all gas and chemical system related calls or issues Supporting Megasys and customer base during excursions, post event Root Cause Analysis, etc. Responsible for the development of the site operation and leadership team Negotiating any changes to the TCGM operating agreement, including operational changes, modifications to scope of work, and fees for service Collaboration with other Megasys sites, including off-site meetings Who you are: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or other engineering discipline 2+ year of experience in an Engineering or Gas and Chemical manufacturing environment 2+ years of leadership/supervisory experience OR- High school diploma or GED 6+ years of experience in an Engineering or Gas and Chemical manufacturing environment 6+ years of leadership/supervisory experience Preferred Qualifications: Proven track record of leading large teams and fostering team collaboration Semiconductor industry experience strongly preferred Demonstrated dedication to professional ethical standards Ability to analyze data and manage by fact Strong technical capability and analytical skills Highly motivated and responsive to employee and customer needs Ability to work and prioritize tasks with multiple groups within the organization Adaptable to quick change and remains constructive under pressure Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Financial skills, including profitability and budgets/cost control Excellent communication skills and strong technical writing skills Microsoft Office proficiency Experienced in continuous improvement principles, such as Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen What we offer: We are curious minds that come from a broad range of backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.
