The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Mechanical Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Troubleshooting, repairing and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and components to include bearings, bushings, gear boxes, transmissions, motors, conveyor belts, pump seals, brakes, clutches, and drives.
Troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
Perform basic machining using precision measuring equipment
Repair and replace piping, tubing and associated fittings
Perform welding and fabrication tasks
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Possess, or in the last six (6) months of pursing, an associate degree in Electro-Mechanics, Fluid Power, Machinist, Automotive, or Diesel Mechanic completed and verified prior to start
High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution completed and verified prior to start and a minimum of four (4) years of maintenance experience in Electro-Mechanics, Fluid Power, Machinist, Automotive, or Diesel Mechanic in a private, public, government, or military environment.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
This position will require Rotating shifts, overtime and Working weekends and Holidays as needed.
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic
Relocation Assistance: Is not authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
