Do you enjoy problem solving, troubleshooting and repairing equipment and want to put those technical skills to good use? If so, we are currently looking for a Mechanical Technician to maintain mechanical equipment efficiently in good operational order. You will work to minimize efficiency losses within our pipeline facilities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. This role will be responsible for all Mechanical rotating equipment repairs and preventative maintenance duties including; trouble shooting, testing, calibration, analysis, alignment, documentation and recording of all findings in the maintenance management system (Maximo) per company standards, best work practices, vendor recommendations in keeping with Federal and Provincial Regulating bodies.

What you will do:
Provide after hours on call and emergency response for a 7 and 7 rotation period within a shared rotating schedule to Cheecham Terminal, Hangingstone Station, Jacos Station, Long Lake Station, Lynton Station, Sunday Creek Terminal, Kirby Lake Terminal, Kirby Lake APT, Christina Lake Station, Leismer & Janvier Stations including all remote mainline valve sites and communication equipment in the area.
Work closely with other groups within Enbridge responsible for maintenance, measurement and operations.
Maintains a wide variety of mechanical equipment in good working order by performing both repair and preventative maintenance.
Completes all maintenance record keeping and ensures all related maintenance information is available and detailed in Maximo
Implements our Safety & Environment programs and policies as required.
Provides emergency response as first responder.
Participates in the Performance management process to keep work activities and focus on company strategic objectives.
Assist with capital budget process
Act as Operations Liaison to Regional and Major Projects with the commissioning of new facilities to meet in service dates
Who you are:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent and typically 5 years of directly relevant training experience.
Certified tradesperson or certified technical designation.
Possess good interpersonal, communications and interactive people skills
You will be required to undergo various background screening that includes but is not limited to 5 year driving record, criminal check and a company sponsored medical and drug testing.
Role requires a minimum class 5 valid driver's license, which will be verified with a driver's abstract check prior to hire
Possess a positive attitude towards safe work practices and safe driving habits
Strong Computer skills are a definite asset.
Understands technical drawings.
Analytical skills for problem analysis.
Working Conditions:
Works a modified shift rotation - 7-7 days (may require night shifts during outages)
Field environment with exposure to adverse weather conditions and potential respiratory hazards. Frequent travel required within immediate area.
Work includes both outdoor (70%) and indoor (30%) activities.
Stationed at Cheecham Terminal commuting from town
