About the Role Location United States of America Colorado Fort Collins Organization Transformation of Industry Business Unit Compression Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day On a regular day, supporting the marketing and sales team with technical clarifications for proposal development, project work which includes the design of a solution for customers obsolescence part replacement. On the mechanical side, design of piping, integral gas engine parts/components, auxiliary systems for the integral gas engines, implementation of new technology for emissions reduction. On the automation side, design of control system cabinet or subpanel, software development on GAP or Wonderware, panel testing, instrumentation selection, BOM definition. On some days traveling to site to perform a site survey or to support the sales team, sometimes supporting the installation and commissioning of a system. Interaction with other functions including sales, operations, supply chain management, technical support, other business units and international and multicultural teams. How You'll Make an Impact Consult with clients to conceive and prescribe integrated solutions to meet customer needs. Engine combustion-related mechanical system integration know-how owner. Mechanical system design, development, validation, and BOM creation to meet client needs. Control System design including cabinet schematics, wiring diagrams, general system architecture, communication diagrams. Selection of instrumentation and electrical/electronic equipment. Responsible for technical documentation of projects including the usage of Globus and SAP. Ensures technical integrity of projects assigned to function. This includes any field problems that may arise requiring coordination with project management, technical support, marketing, and sales. Read, create, and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports. Reviews orders and quotations to verify compliance from a technical, safety and regulatory viewpoint and ensures all requirements are met. Drive and participate in standardization program for cost reduction and product simplification to ensure engineering is of the highest quality, and at minimum cost. Keeps abreast of technical state-of-the art advances ensuring management awareness. Representing Siemens Energy in front of customers and conferences. Writing and presenting technical white papers. This position will report into the office 5 days a week. What You Bring A Bachelor's Degree (B.S) in automation, electrical or mechanical engineering preferred. Associate's degree with equivalent experience is required. 5+ years of Engineering experiences in Systems Integration and/or Mechanical Engineering. Those with more experience may be considered for a higher level. Advanced knowledge of reciprocating engine fuel, air, ignition, cooling, and lubrication systems preferred. Must possess a high level of problem-solving skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; organizational and prioritizing skills; ability to work with international multi-disciplinary team members Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook), Woodward GAP, Wonderware, Rockwell RSLogix. Familiar with Globus, SAP, CAD programs.
