UMC is growing and looking to add an experienced Mechanical Estimator to our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of mechanical estimating or project management experience, or a construction related degree. They must be detail-oriented, organized, driven, motivated and thrive in a team-centered environment. We are looking for an individual who is willing to emulate UMC's Mission, Vision and Core Values. Mechanical Estimator Responsibilities and Duties
- Establish and maintain working relationships with clients, vendors and subcontractors
- Understand plumbing and HVAC scopes of work
- Accurately prepare estimates
- Ensure timely completion of estimates
- Understand and prepare cost analysis
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Prepare submittals
- Complete detailed handoff meetings to project team
Mechanical Estimator Qualifications and Skills
- 2+ years of mechanical estimating or project management experience or, Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or another related field
- Able to read construction documents (i.e., drawings, specifications, etc.) and develop cost estimates
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook
