Key Job Responsibilities:

As the Mechanical Engineer Manager, you will build and lead a team of mechanical designer and support functions for the project's high volume, advanced customer terminals. In this highly visible lead role, you will utilize your design experience and intuition to lead the team to define and develop a new category of devices. You will guide your team in integration of electrical and mechanical components.

The responsibilities include:

• Lead the mechanical architecture definition of the different categories of customer terminal in collaboration with electrical engineering, industrial design, thermal analysis and manufacturing engineering
• Lead day to day design activities related to customer terminal development
• Develop infrastructure and workflow and processes for
• Design and build prototypes to explore the potential product solution in collaboration with industrial design and product teams
• Lead the initial factory builds
• Support production ramp up

Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Basic Qualifications:

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering

• 10+ years of experience in developing high-volume products (at least two products)

• 2+ years of experience in leading teams

• 2+ years of experience in developing wireless connectivity products

• 5+ years of experience in use of one of the mainstream mechanical design tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• MSc/PhD in a relevant field

• Experience in developing outdoor products

• Experience in developing a new category of a product
