Job Details

Basic Qualifications

Experience and fluency with modern CAD tools (ex. CREO, Solidworks, Inventor, NX)
Experience in generating 3D models and detailed drawings
Industry experience managing top-level assemblies and their sub-assemblies
US Citizenship or Permanent Resident/Green Card status

Desired Skills

Master's degree in a related field
Experience designing ground support equipment (GSE) and/or test hardware
Aerospace design, fabrication, and test experience
Experience with hardware design, assembly, and integration;
Experience with a product data management system
Experience with structural or thermal analysis (preferably UG/Nastran or Abaqus)
Multi-disciplinary background to include optics, mechanical design, and structural and/or thermal analysis
Experience with vibration, shock, and acoustics testing and/or analysis
Experience with kinematic design, flexures, and/or mechanisms
Familiarity with design and manufacturing of optical mounts
Will be expected to provide innovative solutions to challenging problems, and drive items to closure
