Description: Mechanical Engineer:
1.Mechanical engineer or designer with 15+ years of experience in design and project management of acute care hospital and associated facilities. Experience with industrial process engineering would be an additional plus. We will talk with candidates that have much more or slightly less experience beyond this 15+ years range.
2.Extensive knowledge in the design and construction of hydronic systems (chilled water, hot water, and steam); air handling systems; and building automation systems is required. We will not consider candidates if they do not have significant/extensive experience in each of these areas.
3.This position will be associated with managing mechanical engineering project teams; providing guidance and being a mentor to mechanical engineers of lesser experience; meeting and communicating with clients; providing quality control reviews of mechanical drawings; conducting site inspections; and editing book specifications. The most prominent trait requirement is that this person must be good at and enjoy teaching and mentoring others. This person must also be in good enough physical condition to perform site inspections and possibly commissioning when needed. Overnight travel is very minimal.
4.Experience using AutoCad is required.
5.Experience using Trace 700 for building cooling loads is a plus; and using Trace 700 also for energy models is an additional plus.
