AFC Industries seeking a qualified seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our team. We are a recognized leader in the design and manufacture of Ergonomic Interactive Technical products for various industries.
Our customers include Medical/Healthcare, Public Safety/Mission Control, Government Agencies, IT and Cleanroom Ergonomic Products.
Requirements:
_ Manufacturing Experience _
Significant experience in manufacturing and design work with sheet metal, acrylic, wood and related materials and components.
Improve manufacturing methods, fabrication processes, develop and evaluate current equipment and quality standards.
Innovates and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope
Investigating, gathering and analyzing data and implementing solutions. Developing and implementing plans to support lean manufacturing. Experience with Amada equipment is highly preferred.
_ Design Experience _
Create new product designs and engineering specifications.
Create, modify and maintain 2D and 3D engineering documents.
Create CAD/CAM files for laser and turret CNC programs using AP 100; bills of materials and prepare estimates to price customer parts; experience designing in AutoDesk Inventor; and experience with metal fabrication processes.
May perform other duties as assigned
The successful candidate is confident, assertive, and capable of multi-tasking. This individual must be self-motivated and able to perform routine duties with some supervision. This individual must be able to function as part of a team while often working independently
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and design
Hours and Compensation
This is a full time, hourly position
Work hours:
8:30 AM- 5:00 PM, Monday- Friday
Other hours, as required in accordance with business needs
