Wood is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with Liquid and Natural Gas (LNG) experience to support project engineering and technical design of multiple projects supporting clients who operate pipelines. These small projects will include both the facilities and their pipelines. These projects are wide in scope and will require the interpretation and application of a variety of policies, procedures, and precedents used in combination. Projects will typically be medium in scope and are either new, or revamp/brownfield projects. These could include scope from intial concept through fabrication/construction and commissioning/start-up. For any larger projects the successful applicant will be responsible for the technical interfacing between Designers and Project Managers. Due to the nature of these projects, a thorough understanding of Technical Safety process and practices is a must.

Responsibilities:
- Report and discuss any Engineering or nonconformance issues with General Manager/Project Manager and Client
- Perform Engineering Design in conjunction with other Engineers and/or Mechanical Designer on both liquid and natural gas facilities
- Travel to client sites to meet and perform design for new additions to existing facilities
- Gather as-built information for creating drawings
- Review CAD design drawings from Designers for Engineering accuracy
- Communicate and apply Engineering/Design analysis to client
- Communicate Engineering Design to input all safety situations
- Work closely with Quality staff to evaluate questionable issues
- Manage Engineering schedule
- Proficiency at project paperwork and reporting to Project Manager
Skills / Qualifications
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- PE or EIT preferred
- 5+ years of pertinent experience
- 1-2 years project related experience
- Oil and LNG factory experience a plus
- Demonstrable experience providing engineering inputs to project reports
