Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: CA - San Jose

Duration: 12 Months contract to hire

Position Description:

Client is hiring multiple Mechanical Engineers to support our Combat Vehicles programs. These positions will be located out of San Jose California in the Mechanical Engineering group. In this role, candidate will lead the integration of vehicle sub-system components and installations onto the vehicle platform. Candidate should have experience with vehicle mechanical engineering design relevant to ground vehicle applications in the defense environment. Candidate will have responsibility to update and release design changes using PTC CREO and completing all related design change processes. Specifically: -Develop designs to meet provided requirements -Incorporation of design revisions -Analyze and interpret design specifications, drawings, documentation, models, and/or test results to ensure technical designs comply with applicable engineering standards, military specifications and product requirements -Participate in design and process reviews -Interface with senior members of integrated product team to status issues Candidate will at all times promote and maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all safety rules of the company.

Skills Required:

Must be experienced using CREO or similar CAD software -- Must be organized and have excellent communication skills -- Must be a self-starter that takes ownership of tasks and drives them to completion -- Good engineering analytical skills. Have understanding of and ability to apply GD&T to drawings -Experience analyzing bolted joints - Experience performing tolerance analyses

Experience Required:

2 years minimum experience in related engineering field

Education Required:

Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
