JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for performing mechanical engineering research, design and development on semiconductor capital equipment and systems.
- Participating in the conceptualization, modeling, analysis, development, documentation, and test/validation of hardware associated with new semiconductor equipment.
- Design data and calculation for DFMEA process - Design products using Solidworks and consult with engineering and manufacturing teammates to ensure that designs are feasible.
- Sequence study - work with control engineer to optimize the sequence flow through the design optimization.
- Work with suppliers to ensure parts can be manufactured in accordance with performance and cost objectives.
- Develops and present reports/presentations of excellent quality that communicate design intent, analysis, and validation at design reviews.
- Responsible for equipment specification and buyoff. Performs analytical work in order to characterize and properly specify new and existing designs, including heat transfer, stress, vibrations, fluid/gas dynamics and manufacturability.
- Design for manufacturing.
- Documentation - Prepare BOM, Operation Manual, Training Manual, etc.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent field.
- 7 years working experience in equipment precision design and automation preferred.
- Experience in the semiconductor test equipment industrypreferredbut not required.
- Must be highly proficient in Pneumatics, Robotics, highly complex Machine Automation, Thermal Management.
- Must be proficiency with SolidWorks 2D/3D CAD preferred but all applicants with design experience will be considered.
- Eligibility to work in the US.
PHYICAL DEMANDS:
- The physical demands for this position are light to moderate. This position requires use of computer use, standing and sitting for extensive periods of time.
