Job Overview
Crestron Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a Sustaining and OEM/ODM Mechanical Engineer. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team in a fast-growing organization. We are seeking a polished, proactive, and professional Mechanical Engineer to support the Engineering Services Department. In this position you will perform a dual role: Sustaining Engineering in CAD for existing products and evaluation of new OEM-ODM product designs. These engineering roles are performed in a high-tech environment within a firm that cultivates a close-knit and collaborative corporate culture.
Responsibilities:
Revise existing product designs in CAD for sustaining version releases
Evaluate OEM-ODM product designs from concept to production, including but not limited to:
Commercial and Residential AV products
Professional and Residential Audio products
Lighting control products
Motorized shades and drapery products
Design for manufacturability
Collaborate with cross functional teams of Electrical, Firmware, and Production Engineering
Generate engineering documentation
Generate and update departmental procedures and flowcharts
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of (3) working years as a Mechanical Engineer involved in product design
3D CAD experience (Creo Preferred)
Design expertise with sheet metal and injection molded plastics
Experience with mechanical PCB design a plus
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Ability to plan and meet project dates and deliverables
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to be creative and solve problems
Positive professional attitude
