As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Creating Drill Bit Design and manufacturing packages utilizing 3-D modelling and data management systems
- Interfacing with Product Line Management, Operations, Manufacturing, and Technology groups to improve product performance and process efficiency
- Documenting and sharing lessons learned, with cross functional groups
- Supporting Manufacturing with problem solving and issue resolution
- Conducting all activities in line with our non-negotiables, and applicable processes for HSE, Quality, Legal Compliance and Cultural pillars
- Creating Drill Bit Design and manufacturing packages utilizing 3-D modelling and data management systems
- To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years relevant experience, Mechanical Engineering
- Have experience with 3D CAD system
- Have experience with simulations software for FEA, CFD
- Experience in Drill Bits (PDC, Tricone or Kymera)
- Select engineering techniques and utilize analysis tools to solve problems and makes sound design recommendations
- Be familiar with mechanical component designs and applied methods
- Drive consistent usage of product design standards (and support updates)
- May be the lead on engineering projects with some functional supervision
