Job Overview

Mold Masters is looking for a Senior Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Georgetown, ON .

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for mechanical CMM programming inspection of various parts related to all value streams through exceptional organizational skills, accurate data collection, storage, and retrieval. The Quality Control Inspector will provide technical support to Production Managers and Supervisors, Assemblers and Operators as requested, in addition to working with planners to inspect parts on a priority basis to meet on-time delivery.

The Quality Control Inspector will ensure ISO 9001:2015 guidelines are followed; follow Job Instruction Sheets and Tag Procedures etc.; ensure compliance with Health and Safety program, including Emergency Response, and make recommendations for productivity and/or method improvements.

What you'll do :

Measure and record, as required, all dimensions to drawing specifications, and provide disposition of parts that do not meet specification
Achieve goals related to rework and scrap reduction and at least 95% on-time inspections performed for the Value Stream
Support tool calibration efforts by way of notifying Production Supervisor of upcoming / overdue status
Communicate to operator and/or Supervisor when nonconformity is found; send email to Quality Supervisor/Quality Engineer on repetitive issues
Maintain records of all inspections performed according to established procedures.
Maintain 5S standard and autonomous checklist.

Basic Requirements:

High level of proficiency in Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T)
Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices hand tools to be effective in validating machined components
Ability to read and understand drawing requirements; clear understanding of material identification; identify, define, and describe non-conformances/defects.
Ability to learn and use quality ERP system (SAP), select and use proper inspection tools.
Ability to operate and program CMM Machines; calibrate various gauges to known standards including database administration
(7+ years) Experience in blueprint reading and comparing parts and assemblies to customer requirements
(7+ years) Experience in manufacturing of tight tolerance parts; ability to work in a manufacturing environment

High School Diploma and/or Post-Secondary education

Good computer competence including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Power Point
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Flexibility to adjust work pattern due to time constraints and meet required deadlines
